Firearms & Tactics Boot Camp Course Schedule

Day One:

  • Classroom: 08:00
  • Introduction & Safety Brief.
  • Presentation: Film Industry Standard Operating Procedure and the Safe Handling of Firearms on a Film Set.
  • Hands On:
    • Firearm Nomenclature and Function of Pistols, Rifles, Shotguns, Carbines & Sub Machineguns.
    • Slings: Single Point, Two Point and Three Point
    • Wearing Holsters, Slings, Vests and Helmets.
    • Grips, Stances and Drawing a Handgun from a holster (Concealed and Open Carry).
    • Transitioning from handgun to long gun or long gun to handgun.
  • Lunch: 12:00 – 12:30
    • “Administrative” and “Combat” Loading Methods for Revolvers, Pistols and Carbines (Support & Strong Hand).
    • Immediate Action Drills – Identifying and Clearing Malfunctions for Pistols and Carbines (Support & Strong Hand).
    • Safe & Proper Movement with Firearms (In Front of the Camera & Off Camera).
    • Individual Entry with Firearms.
    • Stacks, Formations, Team Entry and Team Movement with Firearms.
    • Clearing Rooms & Buildings of Active Shooters.
